I have now lost 30 pounds. I am not on a fad diet, or diet pills. I am living a low glycemic lifestyle, and I teach this to others. It is not a high protien diet where you can have all the bacon you want...LOL. I eat healthy lean meats (although a...

All I can say, for now, is; I can relate!! You are NOT alone. That fear is what keeps most from starting a business and is also what keeps most who do from succeeding. It is the core problem to be resolved. You can have a great idea as well as po...

This is so true. I've recently been listening to a business coach's audio blogs. It has really been causing me to think and refocus. My business has been in a bit of a slump, and part of that is due to my lack of focus on specific aspects of runni...

Profile Information

About Me, My Profession and/or My Company:
I am a Registered Nurse. I have felt for years that I would like to open a Natural Health Wellness Clinic. My focus at this time, is teaching others to live a healthy balanced life, consisting of a triad approach to health. This includes a well balanced low glycemic diet, mild to moderate exercise, and healthy supplementation. I teach 12 week Healthy for Life classes, and these classes can also be done on a virtual basis. I am excited to see healthy progress in the lives of so many. I am using my nursing background in a wellness/prevention way. This is very fulfilling to me.

Need to Change my picture, LOl

Since I have lost 30 pounds, I really need to change my picture. Not good advertising for someone sharing that I teach healthy weight loss classes! LOL.
I continue to work every weekend as an Oncology Nurse. My weekdays stay busy as I am either teaching wellness, watching my grandson while my daughter is in school, or taking care of daily responsibilities. I enjoy the social media, but sometimes I wonder if it consumes too much of my time. And then, you wonder if anyone is really listening, anyw… Continue

My Health Journey

I have now lost 30 pounds. I am not on a fad diet, or diet pills. I am living a low glycemic lifestyle, and I teach this to others. It is not a high protien diet where you can have all the bacon you want...LOL. I eat healthy lean meats (although a vegetarian can do this), low glycemic carbs, and healthy fats. I am feeling great, and have a few pounds to go. I am exercising, and becoming very healthy along the way. I teach this plan in 12 week session in the area I live. The response is becoming… Continue

Tip of the Day June 24

Tip of the day: Did you know when you crave carbs, you actually have an addiction to them? Living a low glycemic lifestyle will enable you to bust those bad carb cravings. But, once you bust them, and then you decide to "splurge", you will will the effect for hours and even a few days! Try to stay away from potatoes, bread, and sugar for the next 3 days. See what happens. Message me for a list of low glycemic foods.

Tip of the Day June 22

I can't believe it is almost July! Summer time is great for fresh fruits and veggies. Yum! A fresh apple cut up and eaten with a little bit of low fat peanut butter tastes so good. How about cold, fresh watermelon? It is hot, especially here in North Carolina. Be sure to have plenty of water on hand. A good rule for how much water to drink every day is to consume 1/2 of your weight in ounces of water per day. So if you weigh 200 pounds, you would want to have 100 ounces of water per day. Sounds… Continue

Tip of the Day

For healthy health care professionals, we need to make sure we are eating right. Eating on the run is a problem in the health care community. For a healthy tip, buy several small rubbermaid containers and have washed, finger size cut up veggies in each. Also have small baggies with things like raw almonds and raw walnuts in each. Then, when you need a snack, you have already prepared healthy alternatives to vending machine snacks. You can also carry low glycemic meal replacements with a shaker b… Continue
